Consultation on the creation of a new meeting space for young people with SEND and their families
We are in the early stages of fundraising for a new classroom at the front of the school.
As well as being used by pupils in term time, we want to open it to families during the school holidays. We envisage it as a hub – a place where the families of children with SEND could come together and get to know one another.
The building would have a main meeting room, a smaller break-out room, a kitchenette and a fully accessible WC.
From the building, families would be able to access the equipment in the school grounds, including the orchard, play areas, PE equipment, outdoor gym, and bikes and bike track.
We need to know whether families would welcome a space like this.
