Newsletter 14th February 2025

14th February 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you to all the parents who have responded to the Seaton satellite survey. There will be a Teams link going out on Monday 24th February for those parents who cannot travel in to school. The split of availability is about 50/50 so it looks like we will be providing both sessions. I will confirm this on 24th February too.

I have had a few conversations with parents already, which has been helpful. I am happy to have these individual conversations with as many of you who would like to. Hopefully a lot of concerns and questions will be discussed when we meet as a group, but I am also happy to meet individually going forward. This is a project that is as exciting as it is scary, and we will work together to ensure we get it right for each pupil.

Celebrating Valentines Day

This week Class 4 have been celebrating Valentines Day.

We used our painting and sticking skills to make Valentines cards. We also made hearts out of play dough using heart cutters and moulds.

For Attention All we enjoyed taking turns to pour white vinegar onto a heart picture made with bicarb of soda, red food colour and heart sprinkles. It was great fun watching it fizz!

School Fete Fun

Class 7 enjoyed making cardboard fete games, then wrote invitations to invite their friends to a fete in the hall! They worked hard to set up, then a group of students came to play games like table football and air hockey. Pupils and teachers could come by, have a great time, and practice their money skills, paying the prices to play games, and giving and receiving change. This awesome teamwork brought everyone together for a day of fun and laughter!

Number Day

Class 5 had lots of fun on Number Day. They really enjoyed cracking the code solving addition and subtraction problems, doing a number treasure hunt around the school and playing number based board games.

Pizza Time

Pupils in Class 11 have been making Pitta Bread Pizza this half-term. Over a number of weeks, they have developed their fine motor skills, such as using a knife to cut items such as Cheese and Tomato and spread tomato puree. Pupils have been able to create their Pizza with increased independence and have enjoyed eating what they have made.
